What i think this quote means is that you have to do what's right for example doing all your work in school and listening to wise people who give you advise for example when you learn from your mistakes you have to accept them. Why? well it's the right thing to do also you have to be motivated to do good things for the right reason like helping the community out not only do you have to do good things for other people, but for yourself as well because it's going to benefit you in the future so always do the right things because it will come with really positive consequences.
